This week Forrester Research Inc. named Thycotic a Leader in Privileged Identity Management, along with CyberArk, Centrify, and Beyond Trust.  The Forrester Wave™: Privileged Identity Management, Q4 2018 Report* evaluated 11 vendors based on 35 criteria across the categories “Current Offering”, “Strategy” and “Market Presence”.

Thycotic earned the highest possible scores for Privileged Password Safe/Vault, Users, Roles, and Helpdesk Integration, and Reporting.  Additionally, Thycotic received the highest scores possible for its SaaS Maturity, Cloud and DevOps Support, and Privileged Threat/Behavior Analytics.

With Secret Server Cloud, Thycotic offers the industry’s only full-featured, enterprise ready Privileged Access Management SaaS solution.  Architected atop Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, organizations get a highly secure, highly available, enterprise-grade PAM service, with no infrastructure requirements.  Configuration is swift, with an intuitive interface and setup wizard, and organizations have the ability to pay for only the capabilities they need while scale automatically to meet fluctuating volume and performance demands.

Thycotic has invested considerable resources to make Secret Server Cloud a true leader in this space, matching the performance standards set by our flagship Secret Server on-premises solution.

In its Wave report, Forrester notes the heightened importance of analytics and automated threat detection, stating “As password vaulting and session management technology mature and become less effective at thwarting threats, improved privileged behavior and threat analytics will dictate which providers will lead the pack.”

Integrated with Secret Server, Thycotic Privilege Behavior Analytics provides a powerful monitoring tool utilizing advanced machine learning to analyze all privileged account activity.  This helps organizations spot signs of abuse, such as a sudden increase in privileged account access by certain users or systems,
or a high number of privileged accounts accessed at once.  Additionally, Thycotic’s Privileged Behavior Analytics enables safe and effective incident response in the event of a breach, with alerts and automated responses to suspected privileged account abuse.

Thycotic is proud of the leadership role it is playing in helping protect the privileged access so critical to our customer’s IT systems, and are committed to continually innovating and optimizing our solutions to address the challenges modern organizations face.
