The threat posed by cyber-terrorism has grabbed headlines and the attention of politicians, security experts, and the public. But just how real is the threat? Most attendees at the recent RSA Conference agree the potential threat is undeniable and seems likely to increase, making it all the more important to address the danger without inflating or manipulating it.

While at The RSA Conference last week, we asked a random sample of RSA Conference attendees the following question:

Who is the presidential candidate you trust most to defend the US against Cyber-terrorism?

Choices included:

  • Hillary Clinton
  • Bernie Sanders
  • Ben Carson
  • Donald Trump
  • Marco Rubio
  • John Kasich
  • Ted Cruz
  • Don’t know

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump ended up in a virtual tie as the best to defend the US against cyber-terrorism. We at Thycotic honestly will withhold judgment because we want to hear much more from all the candidates.
