Secret Server can connect to various platforms to test account passwords and can also change those passwords automatically when staff leave or on a schedule. The password testing (password heartbeat) and changing can happen from the Secret Server installed on your network directly to the device or can optionally use a remote agent to allow this communication to occur across networks or even across the Internet.

Secret Server can natively manage passwords on a variety of operating systems and databases. Additionally customizable SSH and Telnet commandsets can be used to manage passwords on any machine or device that supports either SSH or Telnet.
